The Kilbeacanty Hurling club celebrated 50 years of their famous Kilbeacanty 7-a-side hurling tournament on the June Bank Holiday Monday. And it was a special occasion for the 1963 Turloughmore 7s team who were the special guests on the day. Turloughmore won the tournament when it was revived in 1963 and went on to contest three more finals.
